day 11

day 11: favorite tv shows

first and foremost...

Friends! Did you have any idea?? I pretty much quote it in every single blog post. How you doin?

I was 7 when this show first aired but I dunno... I guess I'm just super mature because I don't remember a time when I didn't love Friends.

Best christmas present ever!! If our house was to ever catch on fire, I'd make sure Devs and Dex were out first then I'd run back in to get my other babies.

Before I had the DVDs I actually recorded every episode on VHS (what's that right?!) and I had a little guide that I made so I knew which tape had which episodes. Some of them usually had the first ten minutes of Wheel of Fortune because I had to go to dance or something like that. Thank heaven for TiVo!

Some other favs:

The Office. It was great, then good, then okay, and now I think it's getting great again. But it'll probably be okay once Steve Carrell is gone. So sad.

The new office! Parks and Recreation. It is literally one of the most hilarious shows on air right now. And if you've seen it, I hope you're chuckling at my use of the word literally. Oh Rob Lowe.

Modern Family. Am I right? It's one of those shows where ya go HAHA, wha?, LOL, hmmm, sob

So great.

And HIMYM! I love me some NPH. If you've never seen this show because it's on CBS well then you are missing out. I was hesitant at first for the same reason but I'm in love. And if you can't give your time to this show, then please just watch the "slapbet" episode. I think it's one of the greatest episodes of anything ever.

My favorite shows. All comedies. I dig humor. I'm embarassed to say that there are so many other shows that I watch weekly but I think it's probably a bit pathetic to make a 2 page post just dedicated to television shows. Maybe instead of doing an interior design/fashion/workout blog I'll dedicated my new blog to television.

day 10

day 10: a person(s) you love

It's this guy

My Lil' Devy

And this guy

My boogaloo Dexter

Ahh I can't write this post without crying! But I will try. Or I won't... You guys can't see me so how do you know if I'm crying. I'll tell you, I'm sobbing.

Life with these two is truly amazing. I really married my best friend. Granted I've only known him about five years but he just gets me and I him. He also is the best father in the world to my other love Dexter. Dex has been such a joy in our lives and I love how much he loves his daddy. Everytime he hears the garage door open he gasps, runs downstairs (sorta-he's still learning how to run), and jumps in Devons arms (not really jumps, he thinks he knows how to do that but he hilariously does not). I love them both so much and love each day with them! For instance, right now they are both yelling Dexters name into a cup and just cracking up. Ahh love them so much. And yeah, my baby can say his name. He's genius.

(with this post it's pretty obvious that Devon didn't write it and hope that's the case in all posts. Someone once told me that my husband was so funny with his blog posts but it's actually not him writing them. I just love having this as my signature. And if you really thought Devon wrote these and are now upset that the mystery has been revealed- then I was JKing with you. Haha.)

day 9

day 9: a place you love
New York!! It's been said that NYC is the concrete jungle where dreams are made of.
So.... yeah... It's pretty cool.

I seriously love New York so much. I've been there like 10 times.. Which to me is alot. And I'm never sick of it. Sadly I haven't been since being married. But I hope to go back soon. I've really been excited about that musical the guys from South Park are doing. Not really. But I would like to take in a showing of Spiderman if the actors aren't all injured....

Ahhh H&M and the flatiron building. H&Ms in NYC are the best ones. And that building is shaped like a triangle! What's not to love?!?

That's my favorite place in the world. And I would have shown you pictures of my many visits there but ya know, my hard drive is missing. I'm still up in arms about it (that's a saying right?). There are so many fond memories I have of New York. One that really stands out in my mind is when my parents and I were watching the Macys Thanksgiving Day parade and saw Conan O'Brien. My Dad and I chased him for like 15 blocks. We couldn't catch up. He's got long legs so naturally he can walk faster then we can run. Go Team Coco.

day 8

day 8: a hobby of yours

I dunno I dunno....

I have so many it's so hard to choose from..

Not really.

I used to dance and sometimes I do high kicks in the kitchen which freak Devon out but make Dexter LOL so does it still count??

I've also become a bit of a seamstress. I made Dexter some new bedding and I'm pretty proud of myself. Who cares if the bedskirt is a little uneven right?! I even concoted my own academy award costume for Cessys Oscar party and I won a prize!!! It was Super Mario Bros on DVD and I was tha-rilled!

My sewing skills put to good use! As you can see I took a black dress and a red shirt and sewed them together. I was half James Franco from 127 hours and half Hailee Steinfield from True Grit. Don't judge me too hard but I had to take advantage of the fact that there were 2 best pictures where the main characters lose their arms in the end. Devon decided to go as Mark Zuckerberg from The Social Network. We even attempted to perm his hair. Beautiful right? And lil Dex decided (was forced) to come as Mark Wahlbergs character in The Fighter. You know, he's the one who fights...

Other than that I just enjoy hanging out with the fam mostly. They're awesome.

But what's not awesome is my current hobby. And that's being sad. Har sad emoticon.

Ya see a while back my computer was running out of memory so we got an external hard drive to put my thousands of pictures on and now.... It's nowhere to be found! I've looked through this entire house and nothing! Waaah.

Now I'm not super computer tech savvy so does anybody know if hard drives have tracking devices in them? If not, then they should. Especially if they are the external ones!

Anyway. That's day 8. Walah.

day 7

day 7: an animal you'd love to keep as a pet

I know, I know.. I think I'm supposed to put that I'd want to keep an elephant or a camel but I couldn't resist. This is the only pet I have ever wanted and truly the only one I would really allow to live with us.

Prepare to be overloaded with cuteness!!

Am I right?!? Bulldogs!! They are the sweetest lil things to ever walk this earth. Besides my baby and other babies I know. But right?!?

I don't know what it is about them.. Yes I do. They're adorable! And just so fat!!

Bwaaah. What's cuter than a bulldog? TWO BULLDOGS!

Seriously, if ever you come across an ad for an English Bulldog for sale (not French, they're too skinny and weird) then send it my way! I've even had a name picked out for years because I am determined to own one someday. The name is also from my fav tv show, but once again... that's not until day 11.

I've just gotta get Dexter to pose with one and then your hearts would all explode because of all the chunk and cute!!

day 6

day 6: your celebrity crush

Currently...

It's this guy.

You don't know who Andrew Garfield is?!? What?! That's okay. I didn't know who he was until I saw the facebook movie. Thank you Mark Zuckerberg. Yeah I might have had ulterior motives when I gave this Details magazine to my hubby for valentines day. I don't think he got a chance to read it before I cut out all his pictures. But I keep telling Devy it's because of his hair! And if you've met my hubby, you know that I'm big on big hair.

So Andy is gonna be the next Spiderman. And I love me some Spiderman. Well I liked the 1st movie... Nonetheless I am excited!

And my celebrity crush if I were a boy.. Although I've never really been so secret about this one even though I'm a girl.

Team Aniston forever! She got her haircut so I'm gonna have to make an appointment with my hairstylist. Yes I was one of those girls who just had to get "The Rachel." Yes I was also 7 years old. Like I said, Team Aniston forever!

day 5

day 5: your parents

Ted & Linda Madsen

Or as I used to try and convince all my friends, Theodore and Gwendalinda Madsen. Some believed me. Most didn't.
My parents are amazing. They are the most caring, selfless, generous, loving, wonderful people I know. The badonkatonkas had the pleasure of living with them over the summer and a bit into winter, which we did not plan, but my parents were more than okay with it. Currently the thing I love most about them (it changes a lot because there is so much to love) is how much Dexter loves them and vice versa. My mom has been so helpful to watch Dexter when I have to go into work and he always comes home with so many new tricks. My mom is so much better than baby einstein. I mean how many one year olds know not only where their eyes are but how to say it. And my dad is truly Dexters best friend. When we were living there, everytime Dex heard the garage open he'd run over to the door, lay down, and try to get the first glimpse of gramps thru the crack. Adorable right?

My parents are awesome.
